This morning, Saturday October 10, Mayor Radice said this: «The events of the last hours in the city, with an ascent of infected and a whole class of primary in quarantine, suggest that we must act with caution. We must not create fear, but share with our community in Legnano the responsibility of reducing the opportunities for the multiplication of the infection due to activities that are not strictly necessary.
The suspension will also be included in the context of updates that, in the short term, will affect national and regional legislation to contain infections. Meanwhile, the competent municipal offices are in constant contact with the operators.
“I am addressing young people, children, families,” continues the mayor, “aware that this period still requires small and great sacrifices. I am aware of the desire for normality, a normality also made of fun, that grows in all of us. IS I understand the concerns of the categories put in difficulty by months of health emergency. I trust, however, in the seriousness that distinguishes us, in that sense of responsibility that, for the common good, has led us to share the renunciation of many traditional acts and also of the latest edition of the Palio. With a little patience and wisdom we will return to our traditions, to what amuses us, what fascinates us and helps us to be together.
However, there is still no decision for the traditional Fair of the Dead.. Also for this event, daily updates of the infection will favor its confirmation or suspension.
