The final is played at the Gewiss Stadium on May 19, where the rival will be Juventus, meanwhile they beat Inter. Both Gasperini’s team, fresh from Turin’s sensational comeback, and Gattuso’s, defeated by Genoa, want to put the recent championship disappointments aside.

Following the 0-0 first leg, Napoli were able to keep a clean sheet in two consecutive games against Atalanta for the first time since 2010 (three, all in Serie A). The azzurri have not drawn at the home of the Bergamo players since October 2014, in the league; since then, three victories for the Neapolitans and two for the Goddess. This is also the third match between Atalanta and Naples in the Italian Cup in Bergamo: after the 1-1 draw in 1973, Naples won 1-0 in the second leg of the 1987 final thanks to a goal from Bruno Giordano .
