The president of the Abruzzo region, Marco Marsilio, has signed an order that as of Wednesday, November 18, will include Abruzzo in the so-called “red zones” decided by the national government to contain the coronavirus pandemic. The “red zones” are those where the risk of contagion is considered highest and where movement restrictions are most severe. The new restrictions in Abruzzo will remain in effect until at least December 3.

To date, several Italian regions are part of the red zone: Calabria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Tuscany, Campania and South Tyrol. In the next few hours, Marsilio’s provision will be certified with a special order from the Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza.

In the red zones, all the rules of the yellow and orange zones apply, but it is also forbidden to enter and leave the municipalities of residence or domicile. In short, it is forbidden to leave the house except for proven work needs or situations of need or for health reasons. The return to their domicile, domicile or residence and the movements strictly necessary to ensure the realization of face-to-face teaching are allowed within the limits in which it is allowed.

All catering services are suspended and only home delivery is allowed and catering with takeaway food is allowed until 22:00. Kiosks, tobacconists, pharmacies, parapharmacies and some activities related to personal services, such as hairdressers, barbers and laundries, remain open.

All group sports activities are suspended, even those carried out in outdoor sports centers, but it is allowed to carry out motor activities near your home, respecting physical distance and with the obligation of a mask. On the other hand, individual sports activities are allowed, but outdoors.
