There are 19 people involved in the Farmabusiness investigation, coordinated by the Catanzaro DDA.
Suspects must respond in various ways to amafia-type association, external competition in mafia-type association, political-mafia electoral exchange, use of money, goods or benefits of illicit origin, illegal possession of weapons, fraudulent transfer of values, attempted extortion, receiving stolen property and violence or threats to a public official. Domenico Tallini, president of the regional council, also ended up under house arrest.
The investigations concerned the operation of the gang ‘Ndrangheta Great Aracri of Cutro (Crotone) in the area of origin and in the territory of Catanzaro, with special reference to the business initiatives launched in the latter province through the reuse of the clan’s capital.
