Furthermore, during the meeting, the ministry opened the drafting of the circular on the use of quick pads, which will be drafted together with the Regions.

Icardi himself comments: “I welcome the will expressed this morning by the Ministry of Health that has communicated to open the drafting of the next ministerial circular on the use of antigen tests to the contribution of the Regions and to realign the national newsletter to the data also including antigen testing. It is very important that the regions exchange as much as possible on these issues, so as not to create misunderstandings about the data.”.
Chaos swabs and molecular and antigenic data
Already in November the Ministry of Health had mentioned the hypothesis of match rapid and molecular buffers. But until now the discussion has always been postponed, until a few days ago, when the arrival of a circular on the matter was anticipated. Therefore, at the moment only data related to molecular tests are reported in the national bulletin, despite the fact that in recent months there have been some Regions, for example the case of Lazio and Piedmont, which have also provided data related to antigenic swabs. . In recent days, there has already been talk of this circular that, in addition, could allow the use of quick swabs also to certify cases of infection and, probably, to allow a Covid-19 infection to be judged cured. The choice of the ministry also follows the indications provided by the ECDC, the European Center for Disease Control, which has included antigenic swabs among which can be used to define cases of infection.
