Was executed last night Brandon bernard: had 40 years and he is the youngest inmate sentenced to the death penalty in the last 70 years of United States history. There are five death sentences the Trump administration faces before Joe Biden takes office in January. Four more executions are planned before the end of Trump’s presidency. With them, explains the BBC, his administration would have the record in more than a century. Bernard’s lawyers had asked for time to process a request to save his life. But Supreme Court Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan denied the request.
