Also because from the data of the individual regions there is the impression that the situation is at risk of spiraling out of control: Lombardy registered 2,975 new cases, but it is not the only one with a significant positive increase. Daily infections in Campania jumped to 1,376, as well as Lazio rose to 1,198 and in Piedmont to 1,123. Data attesting that the coronavirus is now widespread throughout the Italian territory: Tuscany has reported 906 new cases, Veneto 800, Sicily 548.
