Terror at night in Castiglione Torinese, where there was a fire Family Villa Cordero di Montezemolo. The fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. on December 25 on the roof of the house, which is located on Castiglione hill in Strada San Martino. According to the first hypotheses, the flames would have originated from the lights placed on the ceiling for the holidays, it is assumed that it is due to a short circuit.
The villa is owned by the notary Marco Cordero di Montezemolo, 71, two years younger than brother Luca, former president of Fiat, Ferrari and Confindustria. At the time of the fire, Marco Cordero was not at home. On the contrary, the in-laws were present, fortunately unharmed: the alarm was given by the neighbors.
Impressive the flames, visible from afar also by the position of the villa: To tame them, firefighters from all over the province arrived at the scene with numerous teams that worked until late at night. The firefighters also rescued the animals that lived on the farm. Investigations into what happened are still ongoing by the carabinieri.
