Selavdi Shehaj, the 38-year-old Albanian, wounded by a gunshot on Sunday on the beach of Torvaianica, south of Rome, died. The man was hospitalized in the post-traumatic and shock intensive care unit of the San Camillo hospital in Rome after the double surgical operation. The first medical findings had given up some hope, but in the last few hours Selavdi Shehaj’s conditions have plummeted.
Doctors did everything possible to minimize the damage from the bullet that injured his spinal cord and paralyzed his arms and legs. Shortly before 10:00 p.m. on September 23, the death was announced: the injuries suffered were too serious.
With the death of Selavdi Shehaj, the investigation entrusted to the Rome DDA now becomes one of voluntary murder. The Carabinieri of the Pomezia company are investigating the case, looking for the 2 men who would have arrived at the ‘Bora Bora’ plant aboard a dark motorcycle.
According to what is reconstructed by the Weapon, one of the two (“wearing runner clothes” according to some witnesses) with the gun in his hand, hit the Albanian on the beach and fired two shots. One of the two bullets hit the Albanian in the cervical area.
The motive for the ambush remains to be clarified. The dynamics suggest a reckoning but no trace is excluded, not even that of a conflict outside the world of drug trafficking. Selavdi Shehaj leaves his partner, owner of the plant where the ambush took place, and a girl
On October 1, Prefect Matteo Piantedosi organized the provincial public order and security committee in the municipality of Pomezia. The mayors of Pomezia, Ardea, Nettuno and Anzio will participate.
