(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, DECEMBER 17 – A total of almost 700 years in prison by the Bologna Court of Appeal for the 118 defendants in the ‘Aemilia’ maxi-trial, against the ‘Ndrangheta in Emilia-Romagna. The Attorney General had been calling for sanctions for about a thousand years. Those convicted were 91, while there were 27 among acquittals, acquittals and prescriptions.

Two-year sentence confirmed for Vincenzo Iaquinta, accused of crimes related to weapons. However, the judges granted the benefit of parole to the former world champion footballer. The father, businessman Giuseppe Iaquinta, accused of mafia association, had his sentence reduced from 19 to 13 years.
