Abruzzo will enter the red zone as of Wednesday, November 18. The schools, however, will remain open. This was said today, Monday, November 16, by the President of the Region, Marco Marsilio, during his visit to the San Raffaele hospital in Sulmona.

The issue of schools had generated bitter controversy in the region in recent hours.

We have made the decision to sign an ordinance that applies to the Abruzzo Region the discipline contained in article 3 of the Dpcm and that is that of the so-called red zones and nothing else, said Marsilio.

Currently, in the red zone are the regions of Tuscany, Campania, Lombardy, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Calabria and the autonomous province of Bolzano.

In the red zone, as indicated here, you can only move for proven needs, therefore for work, health and emergency reasons; many retail stores are closed (grocery stores, pharmacies, parapharmacies, tobacconists, newsagents, laundries, hardware stores, opticians, florists, bookstores, stationery stores, computers, children’s clothing, toy manufacturers, perfume shops, funeral homes, vending machines remain open ) and shopping centers, as well as bars and restaurants.
