Starting Wednesday, November 11, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Liguria, Umbria and Tuscany will be orange zone. The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, will sign in the afternoon the ordinance that redesigns the risk bands of Covid in Italy from the data processed by the control room. Also from November 11, the province of Bolzano will pass rossa zone: a decision that reflects the needs given that in Bolzano 99% of the beds are occupied by Covid patients.
According to what has been learned from government sources, a new verification of epidemiological data is being carried out that will affect all other regions of Italy. Therefore, for now, Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy and Calabria will remain a red zone. As well as Puglia and Sicily they are still orange areas. Trentino, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Lazio, Molise and Sardinia remain yellow zones.
Tomorrow, as we learn, will be entirely dedicated to the situation in the Campania Region which could remain in the “yellow zone” if the resilience of the regional health system is still considered capable of withstanding the wave of new hospitalizations.

The governor of Liguria, Giovanni Toti, is concerned, who in a Facebook post explains that he has learned of the communication from Minister Speranza that the region will spend two weeks in the orange zone: “Without ceasing to be perplexed by the difference in treatment regarding last week, with more or less similar figures, I think it is fair not to enter into controversy with the government and take note of this decision ”.
Without a doubt, our hospitals are under great pressure, the medical world is asking for interventions and in these situations we believe that the criterion of prudence should always prevail ”.
What changes with the transition from the yellow zone to the orange zone
Many things will change for those who live in the regions that are expected to move from the yellow zone (moderate risk) to the orange zone (medium-high risk). If the curfew from 22:00 to 5:00 is always valid, the first difference refers to displacement: in fact, it is forbidden to enter and leave the orange zone, always except for work needs, situations of need or reasons for Health.
In addition, in the orange zone all shops are closed except for the sale of food and basic necessities, as well as the markets (always except food). Bars, restaurants, discos, pubs, ice cream parlors and patisseries are always closed to the public, but they can sell food to take away or deliver it to your home.

As for Trentino, it could experience a curious side effect given by the colors of the regions with which it borders and by the Bolzano elections. Currently, the “yellow zone, in fact, could experience greater restrictions than planned: Lombardy has been red for days, President Kompatscher has also declared Bolzano red and if Veneto were to turn orange, it would be surrounded. The number of patients admitted to hospitals also increased, 299, 24 of them requiring resuscitation care (4 more than yesterday).

Sports activities are also suspended, individual motor activities can only be carried out in the vicinity of the house.
Stores are closed except for groceries, kiosks, tobacconists, pharmacies and parapharmacies. Hair salons and beauty centers remain open. The same rules as for the orange zone for bars and restaurants.
The restrictions for school becoming remote are exacerbated, with the exception of “kindergarten, elementary school and the first year of lower secondary school attendance”.
