FANNA (PORDENONE) – He’s dead, alone 36 years old, at home, without ever having suffered from particular pathologies. Victim of a disease who gave him no escape, in his own home in Fanna, is Leonardo Liberato, who had moved to the Piedmont municipality a few years ago, together with his wife Giovanna. The couple have three young children.
THE ILLNESS
From what has been learned the drama ended in a few minutes: the 36-year-old got up to go to work complaining of a discomfort that did not seem to worry and that, at best, could be classified among the symptoms of seasonal diseases. A few minutes later, however, his heart stopped beating, despite the arrival of the medical team who could only verify the death of the patient. Third party liability immediately excluded. Liberato worked in the field of telephony, as an esteemed specialist technician, who was also assigned delicate tasks during maintenance. He was loved by friends and colleagues and his family was perfectly integrated with Fanna. The wife is a social and health worker. Condolences were expressed by acquaintances and expressions of affection and closeness reached the young widow: the couple’s families are originally from the south and they arrived in Friuli, not without difficulty due to the ongoing pandemic, to attend the funeral.
THE MEMORY
“A piece of bread, a special and altruistic person, a loving father”, is the description made by friends on social networks, making themselves available to Giovanna, for any need in these difficult and unimaginable situations just a few hours ago . . Even the Fanna community has given up the will to support family activities, also impacted by the fact that this tragedy leaves three very young and inconsolable orphans. Colleagues have promoted solidarity initiatives to which there was immediate support.
In a few weeks it is the second fatal illness to occur in Fanna: Nicola Ferraioli, 63, a renowned pizzeria in the area, passed away on October 14. Even in that circumstance, the first signs of the heart attack had occurred while the man was still inside his home. Then, the rush to the hospital accompanied by relatives and the unfavorable result of the treatments, amid the despair of the family and the entire local community. Fanna who this week also accompanied the historic reconstruction mayor, Annunziato Crucitti, on her last trip.
