North Korean leader Kim Jong-un reappeared in public after three weeks of speculation about his health. South Korean news agency Yonhap reports.
Kim Jong-un cut the ribbon at a fertilizer factory opening ceremony on Friday, the North Korean KCNA news agency reported, writing that “all attendees cheered loudly and shouted cheers.” Kim had not appeared in public since the Workers’ Party politburo meeting on April 11. The indiscretions of the media, during his absence, made him seriously ill or even died after a delicate surgery. However, the rumors were always denied by Seoul, which had spoken of false news claiming that it had never noticed anything unusual on the border with the North.
