(ANSA) – NAPLES, APRIL 03 – The Court of the Mexican state of Jalisco, at the end of a ten-day trial, sentenced Salomón Adrián Ramos Silva and Emilio Martines García, two policemen, for the “forced disappearance” of Antonio Russo and Vincenzo Cimmino, two of the three Italians who disappeared in Mexico on January 31, 2018.

For the conviction of Linda Guadalupe Arroyo, who fled yesterday during a break, will have to wait for her capture.

The sanctions will be announced during a future hearing that must be held within a maximum period of 5 days.

The story given to the investigators and judges during the trial phase by Francesco Russo, son, brother and cousin of the three disappeared, found ample confirmation: on January 31, 2018, four agents took the two young men into the street to deliver them. for a fee, to the criminal cartel Càrtel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG). The fourth agent, Fernando Hernández Romero, is not charged as he died, under mysterious circumstances, in prison.

During the trial some interceptions were heard that, for the first time, linked the disappearance of Antonio Russo and Vincenzo Cimmino with that of Raffaele Russo, whose tracks had already been lost several hours before his son and grandson. The trial ended with the arguments of the lawyers of the different parties involved, including the lawyers Claudio Falleti and Luigi Ferrandino, lawyers for the Russo and Cimmino families, and the lawyer who represented those offended at the scene, Joaquín Esparza Méndez, of the International firm Falleti, which instead discussed three days ago.
