18,625 tests performed. Hospitalizations in intensive and ordinary care increase
CAGLIARI. A total of 45,503 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 444 new cases were detected. A total of 1,005,266 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 18,625 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 2.3% for the island.
There is a new death (1,234 in total). On the other hand, 222 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+12), while 34 (+1) patients are in intensive care. There are 14,141 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 29,680 (+77), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 192.
In the territory, of the 45,503 positive cases verified in total, 11,455 (+90) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 7,072 (+35) in the south of Sardinia, 3,784 (+60) in Oristano, 8,973 (+132) ) in Nuoro, 14,219 (+127) in Sassari.
