But we are not so used to it anymore, since the trend in recent years has been towards a progressive warming that has projected us ever faster from winter to summer, skipping the spring dynamism. But this year it could show itself in all its typical (and, to tell the truth, exciting) facets.

In first week of April the African anticyclone will probably be the undisputed protagonist, with the first real invasion of the Mediterranean basin. In this context, we expect greater atmospheric stability and more sun also in our country. Among other things, given the origin of the air mass, which is the African continent, temperatures will tend to increase significantly, reaching well beyond climatic averages (up to + 3 ° C), at least until Easter weekend.
But don’t be fooled, the first surprise is ready just around the corner.
Right in the vicinity of Easter weather conditions could suffer a first drastic change with the input of a disturbance that could bring back the rains and the temporary, at least in our north-central regions.
And later? What Should We Expect? The novelty that arises from the latest update of the American model GFS is represented by the possible blast of very cold air downhill from the North Pole, yeah at the end of the first ten days of April.
If this powerful exchange of meridians succeeded in spreading to the Mediterranean Sea and therefore to Italy, the ideal conditions would be created for the development of extreme weather events, because strong contrasts between completely different air masses. And at least until the middle of the month the projections lean towards a strong instability due to a rather lively Atlantic flow ready to pilot other riots to our country.
So wait to put away your umbrellas and jackets. Or do it in moderation. As it used to be, in the classic spring seasons, always crazy.
