Very negative day on the front of deaths from covid-19 in Molise. In fact, Asrem reports five victims, even if one was six days ago. Fortunately today only one new admission to the hospital but two transfers to the ICU. In total only 18 positives but with a very low number of swabs: 185 (9.7% positive rate).
Yesterday in Molise there was 1 death, with 4 new hospitalizations and 57 positive in 701 swabs (rate of 8.1%).
OTHER 5 VICTIMS, TOTAL NEAR 450
Sadly, even today is a day marked by the pain caused by covid-19 in Molise. Five Molisanos lost their lives, all already in the hospital. Four victims were registered at the Cardarelli hospital in Campobasso between last night and today. An 85-year-old man from Isernia died in Intensive Care, while three other men failed in Infectious Diseases: an 80-year-old from Termoli, an 89-year-old from San Martino in Pensilis and a 91-year-old from Limosano.
Finally, a 73-year-old woman from Isernia lost her life in the sub-intensive therapy department of the Neuromed in Pozzilli, although this death, reported only today, refers to last Monday March 15.
The total number of victims reaches 449 since the start of the pandemic (taking into account deaths outside the region and at home not counted by Asrem).
ONE ADMISSION AND TWO TRANSFERS IN RESUSCITATION: 113 PATIENTS WITH COVID IN HOSPITAL
Unlike in recent days, today there is only one new admission to the hospital. It is about a person from Campobasso who needed a hospital bed in Infectious Diseases in Cardarelli. However, two patients were transferred from this room to the Intensive Care Unit of the Campobassano public hospital. They are patients of Carcemaggiore and Toro.
There are currently 113 people in the hospital with covid-19 in Molise. Of these, 82 are in Cardarelli, 22 in San Timoteo, 3 in Gemelli and 6 in Neuromed. Going to see in detail, of these 113 patients, then 19 are in intensive care (13 in Cardarelli, 3 in Gemelli, 3 in Neuromed).
LOW NUMBER OF BRUSHES AND POSITIVES
There are 18 new infections out of 185 reported swabs and a contagion rate that stops at 9.7 percent.
There are 6 new cases in Termoli and 3 in the municipality of Longano and Cercemaggiore. 2 positive in Jelsi, Finally 1 positive for the municipalities of Ferrazzano, Guglionesi, Montelongo and Portocannone. Currently the positives are 1,328.

There are 55 just healed. The highest number is recorded in Termoli with 10 people now outside the covid tunnel, followed by Santa Croce di Magliano with 7 recovered, Jelsi with 5 and another 4 in Isernia.
Immediately after Campobasso with 3. There are 2 recovered for the municipalities of Fornelli and San Giacomo degli Schiavoni. Molise counts 10,247 cured.
VACCINES, 88% OF THE AVAILABLE DOSES USED
46,554 doses of vaccine have been injected into Molise according to this afternoon’s update. In the last 24 hours, therefore, more than 1,200 doses have been administered. Considering that 52,975 were delivered to our region, 88% was used, which places Molise among the first regions in use throughout Italy. It is estimated that around 4.7% of Molisanos have received two doses so far, thus also boosting anti-covid-19 immunization.
In detail, 38,127 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, 6,216 of AstraZeneca and 2,211 of Moderna were administered.
NATIONAL DATA
I’m 20,159 infections verified in the last 24 hours in Italy by the Ministry of Health against 277,086 tests (molecular and antigenic swabs) performed, with a positive rate at 7.3%. Yesterday 23,832 infections were detected compared to 354,480 tests and the positivity rate was similar, around 6.7%. The victims were today 300 while yesterday it was 401.
The growth continues, as for several days, both in the number of hospitalizations in intensive care, today from another 61 units (yesterday +23) than in ordinary Covid wards, today from 423 units (yesterday +203).
