An Army tank, shooting in a field reserved for the Armed Forces in the Cellina stream, made a mistake and hit a chicken farm in Vivaro (Pordenone). The accident occurred yesterday afternoon, but the owners of the farm only noticed the enormous damage caused by the blow this morning, when entering the shed. Many chickens died in the explosion and collapse of a part of the building that housed them. The Pordenone Prosecutor has opened an investigation. Ongoing investigations by the Carabinieri: the tanks involved in the exercise – at least 4 – have been seized. The area where the calf is located is on the outskirts of the town. The incident occurred during a night exercise of the Pozzuolo del Friuli Brigade, in which the Cavalleria de Genoa and the Lagunas de Venecia faced off together. The military would not have noticed the error immediately because the shot did not start any fire. Investigations by the Pordenone Public Ministry should clarify why the “Blindo centauro” fired in the direction of the town, given that the area reserved for the shooting is in the opposite direction. The farm owners became aware of the accident this morning, they could not give an explanation for the damage to the shed and the death of the chickens and asked the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Spilimbergo to intervene. Arma’s soldiers, who were aware of the night exercise, connected the elements and solved what looked like a yellow.
