Like every Tuesday, the coronavirus infection curve in Campania falls after Sunday’s rally on Monday: today the virus registers 2,709 positives out of 23,591 swabs performed, 1,065 more than yesterday with 11,193 more swabs processed. In percentage, it means that 11.48% of the tests are positive, three percentage points less than yesterday when the contagion rate was 14.42%. Of all these new infected, 1,735 are asymptomatic and only 525 present symptoms in a bulletin that, however, does not take into account the cases identified with rapid antigen tests.

More generally, the total of positives amounts to 289,574 on 3,126,088 swabs processed while the number of victims rises to 4,550 with the 45 deaths registered yesterday, although the crisis unit is quick to specify that “they have died previously.” The number of hospital admissions is also growing: 1,444 hospitalized with symptoms, 19 more than yesterday and 144 patients in intensive care, four less than yesterday. Fortunately, the number of cured patients is growing, from 192,453 to 193,791 with 1,338 negative in 24 hours.
