The “Sardos y Seguros” campaign in Cagliari led to the discovery of 63 new infected people.
CAGLIARI. A total of 41,959 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 146 new cases were detected. 63 cases resulted from the verification by molecular swab of the positivity resulting from the antigen tests carried out during the ‘Sardis y Seguro’ screening activity in Cagliari.
A total of 825,971 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 3,472 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 4% for the island. There were three new deaths (1,187 in total).
On the other hand, 185 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (-5), while 24 patients remain in intensive care. There are 12,511 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 27,867 (+81), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 185.
Of the 41,959 positive cases verified in total, 10,190 (+102) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 6,686 (+7) in southern Sardinia, 3,506 (+5) in Oristano, 8,270 (+18) in Nuoro, 13.307 (+ 14) in Sassari.
