9 ADMISSIONS AND 3 TRANSFERS: HOSPITALS TO THE LIMIT
They show no signs of declining hospital admissions as planned. In the last 24 hours there have been 9 (yesterday there were 11) against a single spill. The patients from Santa Croce di Magliano (4 in total), Termoli, Agnone, Campomarino, Colletorto needed hospital care. Two were transferred to the gray area of the San Timoteo Emergency Service which, as we told you today, is now full of Covid patients. In addition to the hospitalized patients in the emergency services, there are in fact 20 Covid patients (with milder symptoms) on the 4th floor or in the Urology department area.
And then there is Cardarelli, always in trouble, where today 7 new patients have been transferred: all in Infectious Diseases where one from Campomarino has been discharged. And a patient from Montorio was transferred from the ward in the Frentani area for which it was necessary to enter the Intensive Care Unit of the same hospital.
There are two patients transferred from Cardarelli (where there are 68 patients in subintensive care and 13 in intensive care) to other facilities: from the intensive care unit a patient from Agnone was taken to the Neuromed while a patient from Cercemaggiore was transferred to the nearby Gemelli Molise.
In addition to the San Timoteo, the Neuromed and the Gemelli – or accredited individuals who have given their willingness to welcome some Covid patients that the public can no longer attend due to lack of places – are also full. In the Pozzilli facility, 7 places are occupied in the Intensive and 4 in the Sub-intensive (practically almost the maximum of what the agreement provides) while in the Campobasso hospital the number of occupied beds is 5.
1 VICTIM OF INFECTIOUS DISEASES: PORTOCANNONE ELDERLY
There is only one victim in the last 24 hours: it is an 89-year-old man from Portocannone, who actually died yesterday in the Infectious Diseases department of Cardarelli. With him the victims of Molise since the beginning of the epidemic have risen to 396. Yesterday there were 5 victims.
POSITIVITY RATE AT 8.45%, REDUCED CONTAGIONS
426 swabs were reported in the last 24 hours and of these 36 were positive. The highest number is in Isernia with 6 new cases, immediately after San Martino in Pensilis with 5 confirmed positives. There are also 4 cases in Santa Croce di Magliano and Venafro. 3 positive instead in Termoli, so far always with the highest numbers compared to other cities. Following 2 positives in Campomarino, Guglionesi and Ripalimosani. Finally, a positive for the municipalities of Casacalenda, Civitacampomarano, Larino, Montenero di Bisaccia, Santa Maria del Molise, Sant’Elia a Pianisi and Torella del Sannio respectively.
MORE CURED THAN SPREAD: OUT OF THE VIRUS 87 PEOPLE
The number of recovered patients is greater than the number of new positives reported in these hours. 87 against 36. There are another 87 people outside the infection. The highest number is recorded in Termoli with 21 recovered patients, 11 in place of San Martino in Pensilis and 10 recovered patients in Isernia. 7 also in Campobasso and Campomarino. After 3 cures in Bojano, Montenero di Bisaccia and Tufara. To conclude, there are also 2 curated in Agnone, Fornelli, San Giacomo degli Schiavoni and Ururi.
NATIONAL DATA
I’m 20,765 infections verified in the last 24 hours in Italy by the Ministry of Health compared to 272,336 tests (molecular and antigenic swabs) performed, with a positivity rate increased to 7.6%. Yesterday 23,641 infections were detected against 355,024 tests and the rate was 6.6%.
The victims are declining, they are today 207 while yesterday there were 307 and that they are closer and closer to the figure of 100,000 since the beginning of the pandemic.
Still growing for several days, I hospitalizations in intensive care, today another 34 units (yesterday +46). And those of the ordinary rooms of Covid also increased by 443 units (yesterday +327).
