The full text of theregional ordinance, signed today, March 4, by the president of the regional council Attilio Fontana, who places the entire Lombardy territory in the dark orange zone. The decision comes after the acceleration of new infections: their daily growth rate, as the latest data shows, has doubled since the beginning of February. The ordinance, which remains in force until March 14, contains provisions regarding the closure of schools, access to shops and parks, regulations on travel and visits to individuals.

The new rules established in the ordinance remain in effect until March 14

The regional ordinance with the new measures comes into force at midnight on March 4 and implies the introduction of several new prohibitions, valid for the entire territory of the Lombardy region (you will find the complete list here). The ordinance imposes school closings of all order and degree, with the sole exception of nests. The new rules also establish a limitation on access to commercial activities (only one member per family can go shopping at the stores), but also the prohibition of the use of the play areas within the parks. With the transition to the dark orange zone (or “Improved orange”), it is also prohibited go to second homes me visit friends and relatives, without prejudice to movements motivated by proven and serious situations of need (it means stopping visiting the home).

The reasons for the new ordinance of March 4

The decision was made, confirms Palazzo Lombardia, on the basis oftrend of the epidemiological situation in the area. Based on what they know about the Fontana council, the epidemiological situation presents conditions of rapid deterioration with an increasing incidence in all the territories of Lombardy, also in relation to the youngest age groups. That’s why they were taken reinforced mitigation interventions for the entire regional territory.
