Covid in Campania, today 2,113 positive and 40 deaths: the contagion rate falls to 8% but intensive care is growing

Finally, the curve of Coronavirus infections in Campania after the rally of recent days: today the virus registers 2,113 positives out of 26,533 swabs performed67 less than yesterday with 11,273 more swabs processed. In percentage, it means that 7.96% of the tests are positive, five percentage points less than yesterday when the contagion rate was 13.40%. Of all these new infected, 2,113 are asymptomatic and only 168 present symptoms in a bulletin that, however, does not take into account the cases identified with rapid antigen tests.

More generally, the total of positives amounts to 274,196 about 2,991,864 swabs processed, while the number of victims rises to 4,374 with the 40 deaths registered yesterday, although the crisis unit is quick to specify that “these have died previously.” On the other hand, the number of hospital admissions is decreasing: 1,356 hospitalized with symptoms, four less than yesterday, and 137 patients in intensive care, four more than yesterday. Fortunately, the number of recovered patients is growing, from 187,942 to 188,570 with 628 negative in 24 hours.
