I’m 2,635 (of which 354 cases identified by rapid antigen tests) new cases of coronavirus in Campania in the last 24 hours, compared to 26,533 (of which 6,783 antigenic) swabs analyzed: these are the data related to the progress of the pandemic in Campania, issued by the Regional Civil Protection Crisis Unit, updated until today, Wednesday, March 3. In the last 24 hours, in Campania, unfortunately they also registered 40 new deaths (15 died in the last 48 hours, 25 died previously but registered yesterday, 4,374 in total), while 628 people healed (188,570 in total). Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, in Campania, the total number of cases has been 274,196 (of which 6,981 antigenic), while the analyzed swabs are 2,991,864 (of which 118,628).
The contagion curve in Campania remains stable, even if the data remains high. The incidence rate remains stable at around 10%, that is, the ratio between the swabs that tested positive in those analyzed: in this case, today it stands at 9.93%. Regarding the situation in Campania hospitals, today there is a +4 in the number of admissions to the ICU compared to yesterday (137), while a -4 is registered in the admissions in the wards of ordinary Covid hospitals compared to yesterday (1,356). Here are the numbers on the state of occupation of beds in Campania hospitals, reported in the latest newsletter of the Crisis Unit:
