There were three hours of the Council of Ministers, nine days of negotiations, the return to the light of the Cencelli manual, the lists requested from the parties and only reached the auction of the photo. In the end, last night the government of Mario Draghi managed to complete the sub-government team. The Council of Ministers has appointed thirty-nine undersecretaries, complying with the limits established by current legislation. Of these, six will assume the functions of vice minister, with powers that will later be attributed to them. In the next few days the Undersecretary of the Presidency of the Council with responsibility for Sports will be appointed.
Nine undersecretaries with Draghi
Above all, one note should be noted: the enrichment of the competences of Palazzo Chigi. In the Conte II government there were only three undersecretaries for the presidency of the Council. For a different articulation of the executive (before, for example, European Affairs was a ministry), or for boxes that are completely unpublished, the undersecretaries who will work together with the head of government become nine: Deborah Bergamini (FI) and Simona Malpezzi (Pd. ) for Relations with Parliament, Dalila Nesci (M5s) for the South and Territorial Cohesion, Assuntela Messina (Pd) for technological innovation and digital transition, Vincenzo Amendola (Pd) for European Affairs, Giuseppe Moles (FI) for Information and Publications, Bruno Tabacci (Democratic Center) to the Coordination of Economic Policy, the current Chief of Police, Franco Gabrielli, with the delegation to the services. Among the 39 undersecretaries, 11 exponents are from M5S, 9 from Lega, 6 from Forza Italia and Pd, 2 from Italia viva, one from the Democratic Center, Leu and + Europa.
Great happiness
it was a turbulent birth also due to internal disputes within the parties and between the parties themselves, to the point that the CDM was at one point interrupted by differences. Until the end, the head of government, together with the undersecretary of the presidency, Roberto Garofoli, had to mediate between currents, desires and contradictions. The big parties are all happy. Matteo Salvini: We are satisfied: half of the names indicated are women. Matteo Renzi: Good job for the new undersecretaries. A hug to Teresa Bellanova and Ivan Scalfarotto. And thanks to President Draghi for having attributed the delegation to the Secret Services to an excellent professional such as Franco Gabrielli. Davide Crippa, leader of the M5S group in the Chamber, is also satisfied: today the government team is getting rich. We are the most represented force. Forza Italia also applauds the elections: we are central.
