The meeting with the CTS and with the representatives of the ruling parties served to take stock of the situation. The new measure could be launched before the weekend, in an attempt to communicate decisions made in advance. The initial idea was to focus on a decree law, to also involve Parliament. But times are tight and, in the end, Draghi could be forced to resort to a dpcm. It is difficult to think of a relaxation of the prohibitions with the increase in the circulation of variants and with experts who continue to ask for caution. The decision on a possible reopening it could slide until the end of March or even into the second week of April, waiting for Easter to pass.
The postponement of the reopening of cinemas, theaters, gyms and swimming pools
Therefore, we will have to wait for the reopening. Culture Minister Dario Franceschini struggles to restart cinemas, theaters and concert halls: Today he will meet with the CTS to discuss the security protocols presented by the associations, but at the moment the eventual reopening does not seem to be able to arrive before April 6, after the Easter holidays. The answer has come and it is the opposite: according to experts, swimming pools and gyms can only reopen with less than 50 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, the white band parameter that at the moment almost no Region can even come close.
Only later, therefore, will the indicators be evaluated, which could be revised at a later time and which could be essential to assess the possible reopening of facilities for sports activities with the chill of the entrances to these structures. At the moment, the stricter rules people think of for gyms and swimming pools aren’t enough – postponement seems the most likely. Also for the night reopening of bars and restaurants everything seems to be postponed. It is unlikely that opening can be granted after 6 p.m., although reflection could be performed for those areas closer to the white band parameters. In any case, it still seems to be too early.
