Treviso, mother had jumped off the bridge with her son in her arms: the little one is safe

Reconstruction – As reconstructed by the Vedelago carabinieri and the Treviso provincial command, the 31-year-old woman from Fanzolo di Vedelgo had left the house with the baby in her arms around 7 in the afternoon, to meet her parents during dinner, in a place not far away. When they did not see her arrive, the relatives were alarmed and went looking for her. Just at 10:30 p.m., the sister located the car, parked and empty, near the bridge, about twenty meters high, and asked for help.

Once the two bodies had been identified, the firefighters and the carabinieri descended to the shore: while the 31-year-old lay lifeless, the boy was injured and in a state of hypothermia, but alive. “I thought there was nothing to do, but as soon as he was wrapped in blankets he immediately moved and cried,” said operator 118 who rescued him. According to the investigation, the mother was going through a difficult period, even if, after an initial reconstruction, no particular family and work problems arise.
