Trauma from a pandemic, one in three Italians and more women are at risk

This is the panorama that emerges from a systematic review by the Italian Society of Psychiatry (Sip) of published studies on the topic of Covid and mental health, one year after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Several studies conducted in Italy, Spain, China, India, Ireland, and Israel have evaluated the presence of PTSD symptoms in the general population and, overall, an incidence of 30 percent was found.
