An important result for the investigation into the double murder of the woman and her husband, Peter Neumair, 63, whose body was searched uselessly today with a maxi joke on the Adige that involved hundreds of people and vehicles. From the results of the autopsy, and other investigations, investigators hope to obtain more clues and evidence to help reconstruct what happened.
The couple’s son remains in prison, Benno neumair, accused of double homicide and concealment of bodies: the young man, however, continues to pretend to be innocent. The maxi operation on the Adige ended today, as mentioned, with a deadlock, Peter’s body was not found. Three molecular dogs of the German police specialized in finding bodies in the water have smelled something near Laghetti, where the body of Perselli resurfaced last Saturday. The divers’ searches, however, have yielded no results. The research area included the channel of the Adige River from the confluence with the Isarco to the Mori dam.

The searches
The searches were carried out from the sky with helicopters and drones, from the water with various boats and from land with personnel walking along the river bank, with other molecular dogs from the Bologna police, the financial police and the Ticino Dogs Detection Association . In addition to the Bolzano and Trento firefighters, several volunteer firefighters, the group of search dogs of the firefighters, various sections of the water rescue, the mountain rescue and the White Cross also participated.
The carabinieri and the financial police have made a helicopter available. The companies that manage the dams reduced the output of water to the maximum, so that during the day the flow of the river was reduced, although due to the melting of snow the decrease was not so important. Ongoing works on the riverbanks have also been suspended to minimize, as far as possible, the presence of soil and sand in the water to improve visibility. In the coming days it will be established whether the search for the body of Peter Neumair continues. However, the Mori dam 90 kilometers from the Ischia-Frizzi bridge, where traces of blood compatible with Peter’s were found, will always be monitored.
