CAGLIARI. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 87 new cases were detected. A total of 658,208 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 2,797 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 3% for the island. There were 5 deaths (1,059 in total). The total number of positive cases of Covid-19 verified in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency amounted to 40,124.
There are currently 333 patients hospitalized in non-intensive wards (-17 compared to yesterday’s figure), while 28 (-5) patients are in intensive care. There are 13,664 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 24,814 (+123), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 226.
In the territory, of the 40,124 positive cases verified in total, 9,357 (+44) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 6,447 (+22) in the south of Sardinia, 3,412 (+6) in Oristano, 7,990 (+7) ) in Nuoro, 12,918 (+8) in Sassari.
