Avalanche over Sestriere, ski mountaineering Cimenti – Ultima Ora dies

(ANSA) – TURIN, FEB 08 – The two mountain skiers lost under an avalanche on the border between the towns of Cesana and Sauze di Cesana have died. The bodies of Carlo Alberto Cimenti, who would have turned 46 on Sunday, and Patrick Negro were identified and recovered by Alpine Rescue. Both from Pragelato, were heading towards the Valley of Argentera, in Sestriere, when they were overwhelmed between the Cima del Bosco and the Col Chalvet.

The relatives of ‘Cala’, known in the mountaineering world for his extreme feats, alerted the rescue.
