No skier would participate; the track was not open. No training was taking place. All the rescuers rushed to the scene.
Among them, 8 expert units from the Snow Team’s Fire Brigade withdrew. The Campoformido medical helicopter, the volunteers from the mountain rescue, and the soldiers of the Sagf Financial Police took off at the event.
First update
At the request of the Regional Operating Room Health Emergencies Fvg, the Fire Department qualified to rescue snow and avalanches is intervening, together with mountain rescue personnel, on Mount Zoncolan in the ravine on the side of Ravascletto due to an avalanche that could having involved a group of hikers.
The Fire Brigade and the Alpine Rescue personnel arrive at the site of the intervention using the cable car that runs from Ravascletto to Mount Zoncolan, opened and made available by the company that manages the regional ski lifts PromoTurismo Fvg.
The avalanche has invaded the track back to Ravascletto. The detachment reportedly departed from the so-called “Gjalinar”, an off-piste downhill canal, ruining up the beaten path, just above the intermediate station of the cable car.
