The Christmas decree and the rules
Can I go with my parents or friends?
Yes, but according to the rules established above: you cannot go there if your parents’ house is outside the region; there can be no more than two people on the move, unless they bring with them children under 14 years of age or disabled or non-self-sufficient people who live together; you can move to only one house per day and respecting curfew hours. Returning to the home where you have residence or domicile is always allowed if, therefore, you have residence in the home of the parents, the return home is always allowed, even crossing regional borders.
Can I visit family and friends outside the region?
No, prohibited. But there is an exception. Today it will be possible for those who reside in municipalities with less than five thousand inhabitants to move between 5 and 22 also in another region, always within 30 kilometers of their residence and without going to the provincial capitals. In summary: those who live in a municipality in a small municipality on the border between two regions can visit a friend whose home is in the neighboring region, if he is within a 30 km radius.
In the orange zone, can I go with my boyfriend or girlfriend?
The above rules, for visits from family and friends, also apply to boyfriends or girlfriends.
Can I go home on the red days?
Yes, you are always allowed to return to your own home, the one where you have residence or domicile.
Can I go to a store outside my municipality?
S: As the government explained, shopping is one of the causes that justify moving out of the town where you live if the town adjacent to yours has stores that are necessary for your needs, also in terms of convenience for your wallet. The movement must always be self-certified (here the self-certification form).
Can I volunteer?
Yes, they are allowed, without a time limit., the movements that reconnect to the assistance activities that are carried out, within the framework of a voluntary association, as well as those in agreement with the local authorities, for needy or disadvantaged people.
When is self-certification needed?
During the orange days (December 28, 29 and 30, 2020 and January 4, 2021), self-certification (which you can find here) is used to leave your Municipality: and this, as mentioned above, is possible by necessity proven work, health reasons and urgency. It will also be used to move from municipalities with a population of no more than 5,000 inhabitants and to move, within the region itself, to a second home or to visit friends and family (with the rules set out above). The form is also used to move around during curfew.
During the red days, the form is also used to move throughout the day within your municipality, as well as to enter and leave your city for proven work needs, for health reasons and for other reasons allowed by current regulations ( which includes the need to care for a non-self-sufficient person who returns to his residence). The form will also be used to go to a second residence in the region or to visit friends and family with the rules established above. Those who don’t have a printer can write the self-certification by hand, tracing the template found here. If you don’t have the form with you if the police stop you, they will fill one out: then they can run checks to verify the accuracy of the statement.
What is the time of the curfew?
During the entire period covered by the Christmas decree, so until January 6, 2021, it is not possible to travel between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. The only exception represented by the day of New Years Eve, when the curfew will be between 10 p.m. From December 31 and 7 a.m. M. From January 1.
My family and I moved into our second home in another region on December 20th. I will have to go back to work in the home region for a few days. Will I be able to return to them before January 6?
No. Travel to second homes in a region other than your own is prohibited from December 21 to January 6. Therefore, in this specific case, the transfer of the second home to the workplace in the period between December 21 and January 6 cannot serve as justification for a new return to the second home, in another region, in the same period. So you can go back to work but then you can’t go back to the second house.
