After the rebound of the last three days, the positivity rate fell again, reaching 13.8% (compared to 17.6% on Saturday)
On Saturday, 11,831 new positive cases were registered compared to the 67,174 swabs performed, while 364 people died.
For the second day in a row Covid hospitalizations increase in Italy: in the last 24 hours there were +14 patients in intensive care (2,583 in total with 154 admissions) and +127 hospitalizations with symptoms (23,075 in total).
Veneto continues to consolidate as the region with the highest increase in infections, with an increase of 3,419 cases in the last 24 hours. They are followed by Emilia Romagna (+1,818), Lombardy (+1,709), Lazio (+1,681) and Sicilia (+1,047) with over a thousand infections a day. Double digit increments only for Basilicata (+81), Valle d’Aosta (+35) and Molise (+18).
