the government has in mind to implement one new closing just after the holidays. You will not wait, as was thought, First Ministerial Decree of January 15 (when the decree approved on December 3 expires) to introduce new restrictions – or to confirm the valid ones – as in Italy the the infection curve is growing And according to the calculations of the technicians, it will continue to do so for at least one more week.
As is known, as of January 7 we should return to the mechanism of the Colored Regions: according to the progress in the monitoring of the Ministry of Health we could find all of Italy in the yellow zone, with the risk that three Regions – like Veneto, Liguria me Calabria – may be in the orange zone.
Having all of Italy in the yellow zone is a risk that the government does not seem willing to take, especially at this time when a new one has been detected for the contagion curve “radiance”(Probably caused by the shopping days leading up to Christmas).
And that is why the Government is considering a new closure which will be decided in the next few hours and which could lead to different solutions; let’s see which ones.
Government, a new cause close to Covid: more Regions in the orange zone?
One of the solutions that the Government is reflecting on so that as of January 7 there will be no “free everyone“Is that from change criteria with which the coloring of the Regions is decided.
In detail, there is the possibility of more restrictive criteria, to have more Regions in the orange zone as of January 7, thus limiting interregional travel. We remember, in fact, that in the event that all of Italy is in the yellow area, then we can Move freely – without carrying the self-certification – between Regions.
Reflect on the possibility of intervening on two different criteria:incidence of positives per 100,000 inhabitants and therod of the rt. For example, today the orange zone is provided with a Rt at 1.25 and the red breaks down 1.5; in case of a higher tightening, it could respectively lower to 1 e 1.25. If so, they would certainly be in the orange zone. Calabria, Liguria me Veneto, which would also put the red zone at risk in the subsequent follow-up. And they might turn orange in future follow-up too Basilicata, Lombardy me Apulia.
This is a hypothesis supported by Roberto Speranza and Francesco Boccia, as well as by the head of the Democratic Party delegation, Dario Franceschini, also because in this way we could proceed without necessarily having to approve a new DPCM before December 15. These innovations could, in fact, be introduced simply by means of abridge ordinance with which the new criteria would be established and then absorbed in a later decree.
Government, a new cause of Covid: every weekend in the red zone?
Another possible solution is the one that contemplates the method used for Christmas, thus anticipating restrictions for days with the highest risk of overcrowding.
As was done during this period, therefore, the Government is evaluating the possibility of having aItaly totally red on weekends. Therefore, restaurants and bars are completely closed on weekends, as are shops. And no non-essential movements, not even within the municipality itself.
And there may also be new restrictions during the week, with more restrictions on inter-municipal and inter-regional traffic.
However, to implement restrictions of this type, it would be necessary to advance the expected DPCM to January 15.
It would undoubtedly be one more sacrifice that is being asked of the population, but this would also serve to launch the vaccination campaign that, especially in some regions, it did not start in the best way.
