Torino opens 2021 with the right foot. An important and resounding victory is the one obtained at the Tardini di Parma by Giampaolo’s team, which defeats a direct competitor 0-3 and brings home three fundamental points in the face of salvation. The first goals of the season from Wilfried Singo (8 ‘) and Amer Gojak (94’) decided the match, plus Armando Izzo’s second consecutive goal (88 ‘) giving Turin the third consecutive useful result. A row that had been absent at home for more than a year Granada: in fact it was on December 15, 2019 when the team – at that time trained by Mazzarri- closed a minicycle of two wins and a draw against Genoa (0-1), Fiorentina (2-1) and Hellas Verona (3-3). It is the best way to open the new year.

AL 45 ′ – Torino arrives in Parma after one last Christmas in class. A lot of pressure for Giampaolo’s team, forced to win the first of the five finals that await Belotti and his teammates only in the month of January. And it is Captain Granada who is the author of the play that allows Torino to unlock the result in the opening of the match: dribbling in the middle of the field and brilliant assist for Singo, who overtakes Bruno Alves in speed and makes the 0- 1. First goal of the season and second in Serie A for the winger of the 2000 category, who had already scored in the league on July 27 at home against Roma. Liverani’s team, however, is alive and responds immediately – at 12 ‘- with Cornelius, who affirms his body on Lyanco and in torsion worries Sirigu with a shot that ends up deflected. To get closer to the double, however, it is Turin again: at 43 ′ Izzo releases Belotti in the center of the area, but the “Gallo” fails in a sensational enough way to stop from within the area.

AL 90 ′ – After a rather slow first half, the match lights up in the second half with Parma immediately turning dangerous in the 52nd minute with a header from Bruno Alves that ends just outside. The most sensational occasion of recovery, however, occurs again between the feet of Turin and more specifically to the right of Verdi. It is 58 ‘when Belotti gets rid of the power of a couple of opponents and throws the former Bologna into the net. The number 24 grenade has all the space in the world, but misses the first stop and closes the conclusion too much by kicking just to the right of Sepe. The former Bologna and Napoli is the first to be replaced: in the 69th minute outside of him and inside Gojak, a move that will prove to be successful by Giampaolo. In the 73rd minute, match between Toro and Parma: first Belotti kicks Sepe from a favorable position, then Sirigu flies and deflects a shot from Karamoh that was destined for the intersection of the posts for a corner. However, Toro’s goal is in the air and comes in the 88th minute with Armando Izzo, who compensates higher than all in a Gojak corner. Second consecutive goal of the number 5 grenade, increasingly decisive in Giampaolo’s new 3-5-2. In full recovery, in the 94th minute, Gojak’s first joy also arrived in the grenade, maximizing Belotti’s second assist of the match. It ends like this: Torino wins 0-3 and Giampaolo manages to achieve the second victory of Serie A of his management. A fundamental and resounding victory for Toro, who rises to 11 points in the standings and temporarily returns out of the red zone, fourth from last place in Serie A.
