Murder of Dalmine, son of Colleoni arrested: crime after a dispute

For the murder of Franco Colleoni in Dalmine, the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Bergamo this morning arrested the 34-year-old son of the restorer. The 68-year-old victim, a former provincial secretary of the League, would have died after a dispute related to the reopening of the restaurant ‘Il Carroccio’.

The investigations by the carabinieri revealed that yesterday morning, after another dispute over the reopening of their restaurant, father and son, the local chef, had a fight. During the fight, the son violently beat his father, making him fall to the ground and hitting his head several times with a stone in the courtyard. The supposed reason would be linked to bad family relationships and those related to the management of the family restaurant.

During the night, the detainee admitted the fight with his father to the soldiers of the Investigation Unit and the Treviglio Company, but said he did not remember anything of the fact. “I had a fight, then I don’t remember anything,” he said. Subsequently, the prosecutor Fabrizio Gaverini questioned the detainee assisted by his trusted lawyer. The victim’s son was transferred to the Bergamo prison at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
