OSTUNI – Father and son of Ostuni, 60 and 28 years old, FF and FF were arrested by the financiers of the Economic-Financial Police Unit of the Financial Police of Brindisi because they were found with cocaine and artisanal devices already packed and ready to explode . The discovery was made in the context of specific territorial control services operated in conjunction with the Corps canine units.
In the house of one of the two, 13 grams of cocaine packaged in doses and a precision hanger were found. Inside the car luggage, in use by the father, however, two dangerous explosive devices with a total weight of more than 1 kilogram. These are real high potential paper bombs ready to explode.
The two were arrested for possession for drug trafficking purposes and possession of unauthorized explosive material and transferred to Brindisi prison. The explosive was detonated by the Artificieri and Antisabotaggio Unit of the Brindisi Police Headquarters, in a quarry in San Vito dei Normanni.
The two would have explained that they are bombs that have been detonated on New Year’s Eve to celebrate the arrival of the new year, but the justification provided has not convinced the financiers who have begun investigations to clarify the finding.
