“We organized a lunch that lasted a long time for our guests until the evening and someone, for a few more drinks, left too much.” So says Ivan Favalli, director of the Brescia resort in Padenghe del Garda, where hundreds of people celebrated yesterday, as shown by the videos that have gone viral on social networks. “I understand the anger of people who have seen the videos and who have spent the day at home in the red zone. But it is not easy to be successful with high paying clients.”
The case will be examined by the Brescia Prosecutor’s Office. Codacons, thanks to the images published on social networks by Selvaggia Lucarelli, will present a complaint today to the Brescia judiciary asking to verify the facts. “What is seen on social media, if confirmed, is absolutely shameful – says President Carlo Rienzi – While millions of Italians have had to stop celebrating the New Year, the usual cunning seem to have managed to circumvent the law.”
