Covid: 22,211 new cases in 24 hours, 462 victims – Medicine

There are 22,211 new cases of coronavirus in Italy in the last 24 hours. The victims are 462. This was announced by the new bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

The positive rate of Covid in Italy continues to rise, reaching 14.1% compared to 12.6% on Thursday. 157,524 swabs were made in the last 24 hours.

People currently positive for the coronavirus in Italy increase for the second day in a row. To date there are 574,767, 4,871 more than on Thursday. There was also an increase on December 31, but from 5,501.

Patients admitted to intensive care for coronavirus in Italy fall by two units, despite the fact that 145 new entries were registered today. Those currently hospitalized in intensive care are 2,553, up from 2,555 on Thursday. On the other hand, there are 22,822 people in the departments, 329 less than on Thursday. Those healed or discharged increased from 16,877 to 1,479,988. The victims since the beginning of the pandemic are, instead, 74,621.
