Little news about the world ofecotax for new cars from 2021: the tax will only be applied to vehicles with emissions above 191 g / km instead of the currently expected 161 g / km.
This is what changes
However, be careful because there are no discounts: the tax amount will remain the same same now it is between 1,100 and 2,500 euros depending on the broadcast band. Rather, what changes is the remodeling of the individual emission bands for the application of the tax, which is why the measure of the e-tax will be lower for many of the polluting segments.
As reported in Italy today, the change is due to the recalculation of emissions in accordance with the parameters of the European Union (2017/1151) and the new WLTP homologation cycle must be applied to detect nitrogen oxides to be able to evaluate as accurately as possible the actual consumption and pollution data of the new cars and Avoid that what is declared by the manufacturers is different from reality. The protocol replaces the old NEDC which entails, for manufacturers, the obligation to pass much stricter homologation tests: in fact, the new one provides a test duration of 30 minutes, while to obtain the previous NEDC homologation, the same was 20 minutes. In addition, the average speed that the vehicle subjected to the WLTP test must withstand will be higher: with the new legislation it will be equal to 46.5 km / h, whereas previously the average speed was 34 km / h.
This new system will be the reference both for the determination of the eco-voucher in electric and hybrid vehicles, and for the calculation ecotax (the tax on the most polluting vehicles). However, with respect to the payment of the ecological bonus alone, a transitional period has been established for the calculation of emissions, still based on the old vehicle purchase cycle until June 30, 2021.
Hybrid, electric and Euro 6
Also in 2021 there will be contribution for the purchase of electric or hybrid passenger cars: the aid is two thousand euros in the event of scrapping of a vehicle registered before January 1, 2011 and one thousand euros in case of not scrapping. The possibility of purchasing with subsidized leasing is also confirmed, but the price of the vehicle must not exceed 50 thousand euros.
The seller, on the other hand, will have more time (a month instead of 15 days) to start the vehicle scrapping Euro 6: the latter, with CO2 emissions greater than 61 g / km and up to 135 g / km (for 2020 the maximum emission threshold was set at 110 g / km), the modification of the maneuver provides for state aid 1,500 euros in purchases made until June.
News also for vehicle owners heavy: the new contribution is differentiated according to the Total Land Mass (MTT) of the vehicle, the electricity supply and the possible scrapping of a vehicle of the same category up to Euro 4: the amounts vary from 1,200 to 8,000 euros in the case of scrapping , otherwise the contribution ranges from a minimum of 800 euros to 6,400 euros.
Bicycle discounts
It’s time for the bonus’load bike ‘: a tax credit of up to 30% for expenses on cargo bikes and cargo bikes with pedaling assistance: this bonus, for one year, will reach a maximum of two thousand euros and will be in favor of micro and small businesses to carry out last-mile urban freight transport activities. The budget, however, is tight: a maximum of two million euros by 2021.
