On Thursday, December 31, compared to 32,858 swabs, 3,859 new cases were detected throughout Lombardy (2,186 more than on Wednesday). The relationship between swabs made and new positives grows again: it is 11.74% (yesterday it was 7%). Between Brescia and the province, another 590 people were positive for the virus: 364 more than on Wednesday (226).

Resuscitation patients are also growing: the total has increased by 8 units compared to yesterday and now 489 people with severe respiratory failure are admitted to the intensive care units of the county hospitals. The number of beds occupied by less seriously ill patients is decreasing: there are 180 fewer, for a total of 3,437. In hospitals in the region there are a total of 3,926 people affected by Covid (172 less than on Wednesday). In just one day another 85 people died: the (official) total reached 25,123.
