Sardinia, the virus discovered a year ago is still biting: infections increase, four more deaths. A total of 31,113 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 368 new cases were detected. There are also 4 deaths (747 in total): a man and a woman from the metropolitan city of Cagliari, aged 79 and 101 respectively, and two men aged 88 and 72 from the province of Sassari. A total of 482,520 swabs were performed with an increase of 3,584 tests.
On the other hand, 486 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (ten less than yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients in intensive care is 46 (+2). There are 15,921 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 13,610 (+230) recovered patients, plus another 303 clinically recovered. In the territory, of the 31,113 positive cases verified in total, 6,974 (+92) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 5,107 (+84) in southern Sardinia, 2,482 (+62) in Oristano, 6,200 (+62) ) in Nuoro, 10,350 (+68) in Sassari.
