In Italy, at least since the start of the coronavirus epidemic 2,107,166 people (including recovered and dead) have contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus: new cases are 23,477 compared to the previous day, + 1.13% (yesterday they were +16,202), the highest figure since December 4, while today’s deaths are 555, + 0.75% (yesterday they were +575), for a total of 74,159 victims since February. The people recovered or discharged are 1,463,111, in total: 17,421 (+ 1.21%) those released today from the Covid nightmare (yesterday they were +19,960). Therefore, fewer new cases: therefore the number of positive returns is currently growing, +5.501 (yesterday -4.333), and now they are 569.896 (+ 0.97%, yesterday they were 564.395).
Alarm also for intensive care, which rises again (+27, yesterday -21), with 202 new daily entries: there are already 2,555 in total. On the other hand, there was a good decrease in ordinary hospitalizations, 415 less (yesterday -96), 23,151 in total.
The swabs were 186,004, or 16,959 more than yesterday when they were 169,045. Although the positivity rate is 12.6% (approximation of 12.62%): it means that of every 100 swabs performed, more than 12 were positive; yesterday it was 9.6%. Here is the map of contagion in Italy.
Practically all the Regions are growing, starting with Veneto, which today shoots up to +4,800 infections, followed by Lombardy (+3,859), Emilia Romagna (+2,116), Lazio (+1,767) and Puglia (+1,661).
