SITUATION. After the interruption than in the initial stage of the first Weekend The new year will bring bad local weather conditions in part of Italy, between central Europe and the Mediterranean. a large low pressure circulation will remain active driven by very cold descending air from northeast Europe. Italy will also continue to be affected by this circulatory depression and the climate will be sometimes unstable in some areas until Epiphany, with temperatures always quite low.

THE WEATHER FROM NEXT WEEK. Despite the absence of real disturbances, a flow of moderately western currents that will cross the central Mediterranean between Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 January will keep our Tyrrhenian regions exposed first, where there will be other opportunities for something reverse or snowfall in the interior areas of the Apennines. The northern regions, the Adriatic and the extreme south would be less involved today, with greater areas of sun and a drier climate.

EPIPHANY TREND. The cold air that will continue to flow from the northeast towards the Mediterranean could generate a vortex of depression around Epiphany, from where would come a disturbance that would also target much of Italy. If the trend is confirmed, the worsening would be characterized by even intense phenomena, which in the North could assume snowy nature to very low heights, sometimes even on the plains, due to the favorable soil temperatures. Given the temporal distance, the trend could undergo changes. We recommend that you follow the next updates.
