As of tomorrow, Italy is back in the red zone, for the last 6 days of lockdown, until Epiphany, with the orange “break” on January 4.. As happened at Christmas, the New Year will also be under special surveillance by the police who carry out checks not only on roads and highways but also on the web, to intercept attempts to organize parties and clandestine parties. The goal is to avoid dangerous gatherings, especially on New Years Eve when curfew, which usually ends at 5, will run until 7 a.m. on January 1. The restrictions will be those already prepared in the week of Christmas, from December 24 to 27, with the prohibition of travel except to visit friends or family, in a maximum of two people (and any person under 14 years of age or disabled) and one just once a day. Always paying attention to the absolute prohibition of traveling during curfew hours, that is, after 10 pm, if it is not for proven work, health or emergency needs. Violators risk receiving fines that can range between 400 and 1,000 euros. A maximum of two people who do not live in the house can be accommodated, always excluding children under 14 years of age. For this reason, the police will establish stricter controls, especially on cars with more than two passengers.

Almost one in two Italians (47%), according to Coldiretti, are willing to report any wrongdoing, such as parties with many guests and abusive parties. According to Confcommercio, there is a sales boom in the food sector from high quality wines. The average cost of dinner at Coldiretti’s house is estimated at around 65 euros.
