Regional Councilor Bottacin provided an update on the Croatian earthquake: “The commotion that was felt this morning also in Veneto has an intensity similar to that of 2009 in L’Aquila. And it was anticipated by at least three other less intense but still strong clashes that yesterday affected the area south of Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. At the moment, Bottacin reported, there is no damage in the Veneto area or even the Friuli area. However, the civil protection of Veneto has been willing to intervene with a mobile column and is only waiting for the green light from the national department. Meanwhile, a mobile column of Veneto firefighters is ready to go to the scene and they have requested the support of at least two units specialized in pulling citizens out of the rubble.
