Caricola is always informed about Italian football: «I watch all the matches, and I must say that I don’t like to see all these changes in Genoa. If you think that coaches like Gasperini and Juric, who are making their fortune with Atalanta and Verona, have been fired without thinking too much, it makes you think a lot. You should be right as you are in a company: you have to plan for the next 4-5 years, defend your choices, and you will see that you will reap the rewards. I love Genoa, her fans are exceptional and I miss her ».
Fans struggling to keep up with modern football: “They are right, it is impossible to get attached to the players, as in our time, they change teams every six months. But it is a general discourse of all the teams: unfortunately there are no more flags, and the prosecutors are the masters. Gone are the days when a player spent even five or six years on the same team. An important hard core was built in my Genoa that lasted for years, but even when I was playing for Juventus, the club always focused on people like Platini and Boniek for various tournaments.
