The president of the Puglia region, Michele Emiliano, based on information from the director of the Health Promotion Department, Vito Montanaro, reports that today, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Puglia, 9,668 tests have been registered and recorded for infection by coronavirus Covid-19. 749 positive cases: 287 in the province of Bari, 74 in the province of Brindisi, 126 in the province of BAT, 81 in the province of Foggia, 59 in the province of Lecce, 106 in the province of Taranto, 10 residents outside of the region, 6 cases in the province of unknown residence.
34 deaths were recorded: 11 in the province of Bari, 8 in the province of BAT, 11 in the province of Foggia, 4 in the province of Taranto.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,022,357 tests have been carried out. 32,572 patients were recovered. 52,833 are currently positive cases.
The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 87,833, divided as follows: 33,847 in the province of Bari; 10,086 in the province of Bat; 6,355 in the province of Brindisi; 19,462 in the province of Foggia; 6,840 in the province of Lecce; 10,642 in the province of Taranto; 511 attributed to residents outside the region; 90 province of unknown residence.
Asl’s Prevention Departments have activated all procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
